The Mar Gregorios Orthodox Christian Student Movement (MGOCSM) is the Christian student organization. The MGOCSM’s mission statement is worship, study and service.
The 100th year anniversary of the MGOCSM was celebrated in 2008.
Since the inception of the American Diocese, the MGOCSM has played a vital role in the lives of middle-school, high-school and college students alike.
MGOCSM regions exist in the major areas within the United States; Baltimore, Boston, California, Chicago,Dallas, Florida, Houston, St. Louis, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma City, Philadelphia, San Antonio, Virginia and Washington D.C. and as well as provinces in Canada.
Various programs and retreats are coordinated by the regional leaders of the MGOCSM to teach the youth about the Orthodox Faith and Church practices.
His Grace Mathews Mar Barnabas has appointed Rev. Dn. Gheevarghese John to serve as the General Secretary for the years 2009 to 2011.
Mr. Joel Mathew was elected by the MGOCSM delegates as the General Treasurer.
2009 is being called “The Year of Revival”, with a powerful mission statement that empowers a generation for Christ: “MGOCSM, Igniting revival in the church through worship, study and service.”
The mission of MGOCSM strives to regenerate the hearts and minds of the Indian Orthodox youth to live for Christ in the manner of the apostolic teaching passed down by the Holy Fathers of the Orthodox Church.
